GameSpot's Aaron Sampson is joined by IO Interactive's Tore Blystad to show off some exclusive content for Hitman: Absolution!
i wish the instinct mode would be automatically turned off when u hike up the difficulty .
Wow,the crowd barely reacted when the disco ball fell on the target and killed him.
What is the point of this x-ray in head of each game protagonist? I also noticed more and more pulsing points to were we should go. This game will have 18+ on box and yet more and more solutions cut for 10 or 12 years old. This make this game too simple, unrealistic and is ruining the atmosphere. Similiar things UBI is putting into splinter cell and ghost recon serie....big banners with inscription what part of the world we are etc.
@kbrbabzbtb I see you haven't been following the game at all. You should probably look into more of the dev interviews and details about the game because right now you look like the most uninformed person in the world who spouts off nonsense thinking he's right.
@homeslice101 It did get a 7.5, but they took the video review down shortly after it was posted.
Finally!!! A breath of fresh air!!
A series that isn't screwed! This looks really good, and I finally get the filing that a game isnt linear... Games this days, all of them look linear, even the new crysis 3!
It makes me remember the first Splinter Cell... Good old days :( !
Is it possible to turn off all the help? I don't need to be told everytime there is a bottle or some other crap lying around that I can interact with, I'd rather figure it out myself thanks. I won't be paying full price for it anyway thats for sure, not after reading the comment before mine.
To mirror the many comments below, Kevin Van Ord posts a score of 7.5 and promptly Square Enix gets upset because only reviews with a minimum of 8.0 are allowed to be released (check the 4 on metacritic) plus the Hitman advertising on the front page of Gamespot has a score of 9/10 from offical playstation magazine included in the ad. So of course the only conclusion is that Gamespot was put under pressure to remove its review because there is obviously no review embargo since there are already 4 favourable reviews released. But since Kevins Review is not flattering enough Square Enix does what so many big publishers do and put pressure on review sites.
Not all gamers are morons, and this will be remembered.
BTW, if there is any negative fallout towards Kevin...........just watch that there isnt. The age of Publishers bullying their way in this industry is coming to a close, Gamers are now aware.
@Banefire76 They pulled the review because it wasn't supposed to be posted until Sunday! TODAY! Not Saturday. So you're wrong in thinking what you're thinking.
If what your saying is true then stuff Square Enix. There's plenty of other developers that appreciate constructive criticism. They can't expect good reviews if the game isn't that good. The fact that they only allow a minimum release score of 8 is disgusting and if this is indeed true what is the point in having reviews in the first place if the developer/publisher is going to dictate the scores anyway?
@gamingfrendly @Amorphis2k @Banefire76 Or maybe Gamespot shouldn't buckle under said pressure and release the review either way, if it's true. If it is true, it makes the integrity of both parties involved look compromised.
@Amorphis2k @Banefire76 True and fairly said. Saying something doesnt make it true. We should all do our own research or say nothing.
@Banefire76 I'd comment on this but I dont want to 'scroll' your comment away like im sure some might. This kind of she-it makes me rebellious and vocal in boycotting this kind of publishing. As always: buyer be waiting for non shill reader reviews (BBWFNSRR) :)). The wave of the future of gaming sadly.
@Banefire76 what the hell man!? i was thinking about buying this game but not anymore.. cant believe they pulled the review. the review was good and 7.5 isnt a bad score.
I consider myself a "hardcore" Hitman fan and I've never thought to myself, hey I really wish I could show off my score and compete online. Anyway, when he dropped the disco ball on the guy, I was kind of disappointed by the default behaviour of some of the AI, the ducking down in fear kinda thing. I think for that situation, being an accident, there should be a shock reaction and actual realistic response like someone calling for help. Not saying they have to have a full thing where ambulance comes and stuff, but at least something better. Actually, it would be cool if they designed levels where an accidental death leads to more possibilities for other objectives, like say medics do arrive and this opens up some other path to the next objective :).
@hystavito Game makers need input likr your giving. That they dont bother with it or dont care means a rapidly declining gaming market. It's the simple, stupid fun factor that has fallen away from our gaming market that makes it hard for me to believe that these profit hounds just dont get. Indie games and the loke will destroy you all if your dont stop watering down your games.
anyone else notice that when he's in the elevator that nobody notices him even though he's visible?
First thing I am doing when I get this game is turning off instinct mode.
@merigoldsass @TopGunnas bit of an overreaction lol, someone who pirates a game doesn't really fit the label "pure scum"
@FreedomPrime @spoty420 @TopGunnas i'm playing the game last few days lol since 15th
This game is so wrong, but it's hard not to love the world design & it's outstanding art design & aesthetic.
