Since when was there not allowed to be a sequel to the RETURN of an AMAZING series, Donkey Kong Country Returns? If there WASN'T a sequel, it would be STUPID. He says he's disappointed by the announcement of something so amazing. Screw you, Tom.

We're sorry. This video does not have a downloadable version.
One thing I don't understand is how this is a peoples choice decision, I don't remember a vote or did I miss it?
I think if this was all staff decisions they're playing it a little loose with "peoples choice" title.
@Alvmes I don't think Final Fantasy XV was available for play at any of the booths so it wasn't included.
I just played the beta for Company of Heroes 2 and it was amazing, I don't understand why it's not here.
I bet if it was a console game it would be on here, and if my playtime was any indication I imagine it's E3 showing was impressive.
@mkeezay22 same goes for Total war... but they put in games like that Halo game -.-
@Majkic666 @mkeezay22 It's a shame really E3 is so focused on consoles they don't even mention when the game they're showing is on PC also, plus the fact they give minimum coverage to great PC only games is ridiculous
@mkeezay22 @Majkic666 So true! Gamespot's live coverage on Rome 2 was an insult, the interviewer showed absolutely no respect to the guy from Creative Assembly and only asked stupid question insisting on seeing elephants in the game to a really annoying degree.....
@Majkic666 @mkeezay22 LOL, that's ridiculous. Gamespot is more excited about Halo: Spartan blabla than about Rome II. Seriously? Just because there are no other games for Windows phones???
No sports games and no strategy games, but racing games and casual games....
Shame....
Yeah, why no love for sports games. There were some incredible games shown. Oh yeah, GameSpot doesn't care about sports games.
@wantbackin It's not like it's to expect that all of a sudden FIFA becomes a golf sim...no surprises and nothing new about the sport games...just flashier graphics and newer licenses and that's it then
@TacticaI @LordCrash88 @Majkic666 @Justforvisit @wantbackin Ok, let's say the core gameplay is the same. And same is true for sports games, or not? ;)
@LordCrash88 @Majkic666 @Justforvisit @wantbackin Or CoD, Blops and all the other spin offs.
Corporations like winning formulas.
@Majkic666 @Justforvisit @wantbackin Or Battlefield 4 which is exactly the same thing as Battlefield 3 with slightly better graphics.....
@LordCrash88 The excitement level and intrigue for those games isn't as high as it is for the games in the tournament.
@diskotheque @LordCrash88 Yeah, but I SAW the excitement meter for NFS Rivals on the show right now. It was below the floor......no strong argument here.
@LordCrash88 All I'm saying is it has potential and thus a lot of people in the industry are going to be keeping an eye on it.
@diskotheque @LordCrash88 A twin stick shooter? Really? No way ;)
That's just selling out a trademark like Halo....
@LordCrash88 Nobody knows how well Halo: Spartan Assault will perform. It's possible that it could be a dud but it could also be huge. It could be that game that just explodes in popularity and introduces an entirely new group of casual gamers to the Halo series, and that alone makes it intriguing and exciting.
@diskotheque @LordCrash88
Fifa 2013 - 14.5 million copies sold
Battlefield 3 - 18 million copies sold (expected until end of fiscal year)
Not that big difference....
Take Halo: Spartan Assault....this game will never be sold millions of times I guess but it is also eligible.... ;)
@LordCrash88 @diskotheque Yeah man, but do they constantly stay at the top of the charts in the ways that Battlefield and Call of Duty do? And despite selling millions Battlefield and Call of Duty sell millions more.
@diskotheque @LordCrash88 Ahem, you know the sales figures of FIFA or Madden, don't you? Millions of copies are sold of these games.....
@LordCrash88 Yeah but Battlefield and Call of Duty are too popular to not include. They reach a much wider audience than a typical sports game would. Shooters in general are more popular and people seem to get more hyped up about the release of the next great shooter than they do of the next Madden or FIFA release.
@diskotheque @LordCrash88 Battlefield 4? Need for Speed? Forza? They are all the same thing as the year before..... ;)
@LordCrash88 I will agree with you that NFS should have been replaced by a different game (like Transistor) but your argument still doesn't make the other sports franchises more exciting. They are all too similar year to year... hard to get excited about that.
@bijilkif And no Company of Heroes 2.....gamespot has obviously NO interest in strategy or PC games in general....
@LordCrash88 @bijilkif This isn't about which games we're most interested in, it's about which games got us most excited with their E3 showings.
@Judeuduarte @JusticeCovert @LordCrash88 @bijilkif I enjoyed playing it for sure, and will almost certainly buy it, but I don't know that the short battle I played really did the game justice. Nobody else from the GS team spoke up for it in our discussions. Sorry
@bijilkif @JusticeCovert @LordCrash88 Maybe, but people should have the chance to vote on their favorite game of E3 because this thing is called "people's choice" and not "gamespot's awards".....;)
@JusticeCovert @LordCrash88 @bijilkif I do not believe that gamespot is not excited about the sequel to Rome: Total War
@JusticeCovert @LordCrash88 @bijilkif i don't understand how you didn't got excited with total war XD
@JusticeCovert @LordCrash88 @bijilkif You were NOT excited about Rome 2 or CoH 2? Wow, that's weird because almost every strategy game on this planet is at least excited about one of them.....
Come on, start the machine for the last two! No matter if it makes no sense, just start the blower xD
Why no Rome II Total War or Company of Heroes 2 here? There were PS and Xbox One exclusives, WiiU exclusives, why no PC exclusives???
@LordCrash88 I think there's just generally more excitement for the consoles and their games considering that there are two new systems coming out at the end of the year.
@diskotheque@LordCrash88Well, that's a weak argument. Total War for example will be released even on September, CoH 2 on June! I thought this "people's choice" is about games and not about hardware. Why is there even a thing called "people's choice" if some games aren't eligible???
@diskotheque @LordCrash88 Lots of these "peoples choice" games are coming to PC also and any sane gamer would rather play the PC version than a console version with lower framerate and resolution.
@LordCrash88 The whole point of this tournament is to include games that generated a lot of excitement. Obviously GameSpot isn't perfect (excluding Transistor) but they did a pretty good job overall. I own a PS3 and a PC and I play games on both, but the games I am most excited about after E3 are games arriving on consoles, especially the new ones. That's just how I feel, and I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way, including most of the GameSpot staff.
@LordCrash88 @diskotheque good point, in most ways the PC is newer as a large amount of PC gamers have likely updated their rigs since Wii-U was released
PC is always new, thats why it's the best
@diskotheque @LordCrash88 That's maybe true for the public or console fans but it's weak if it's also true for game journalists who claim to be "multiplaform". PC fans are not that interested in the new consoles. And don't forget: even WiiU exclusives are on the list and that is NOT a new console....
@LordCrash88 It's not a weak argument... the excitement level is always much higher for consoles when new ones are released. The focus is more towards the games being released for these consoles than it is for PC games right now. In another year or two that excitement will dwindle a bit and the playing field will be much more even.
