its a decent game but very bad game mechanics, such as killing a unit might give your enemy an advantage (very nonintuitive) and low game population leads to long queue times (max 100 ppl per day)
@insanem0nk the mechanics are a bit more subtle and intricate than ur generalization. Basically, killing off ppl early on gives the opponent "turn advantage", meaning their guys get more turns than your guys, but turn advantage is only effective if the enemy also has a "stat advantage", meaning if you have 4 low strength low armor guys and opponent has 2 full stat guys left....he/she wud most likely win. What this means is that you need to make the most efficient moves every turn, e.g. letting the guy with 1 str live to hit the guy with the most str, thereby minimizing damage on opponents next turn.
@Axiom93 i said it "might" give your enemy an advantage, so your explanation doesnt refute it by saying when it doesnt. the purpose of the generalization still suffices. turn advantage is a bad mechanic imo, so is the slow defensive gameplay because of no healing, offensive formations are not rewarded and nerfed offensive units like backbiter leads to boring gameplay, they only become more effective than defensive archer formations at r3, but no one plays at p18 because population is bordering 100 per day
