EA has abandoned its online pass scheme -- a bit of news we thought you'd be delighted by. Turns out not everyone is rushing to thank EA. Johnny investigates.
I love the new voices. Please pick random unrelated people around the office and off the street to read the lines more in future ';,,;'
You know whats great about being a PC gamer. Is that steam takes care of us. Valve is the future... soon we will Crush EA.... its just a matter of time.
The core idea of feedbackula is for people like you to write comments, thus increasing content for Gamespots web-site... and in turn increasing or consistently maintaining Search Engine Rankings for Google, Yahoo and Bing.
@blackoutmuser LOL, they changed the show's graphics and theme to match the music haha.
Now ubisoft needs to stop their online pass crap as well, only then will the my faith in gaming companies be restored
Fuck you. EA deserved to be hated just like any company out there with malpractices and disregard for the excellency of their products. Let them be hated for eternity. Gather a lynch mob and kill them all and let them rot like a piece of shit and I hope all their children are born with horrible, disgusting and smelly face, brains, motor organs and genital diseases.
Paranoia? This show looks like it was made by request of EAs, to try to calm their COSTUMERS (angry and unhappy).
There is so much subject to be talked... Really? F. this company. Let us complain, and let them improve their behaviour, its their job and it is OUR money that supports it.
Was with ya till the sarcastic comment over EA being whores to maximize profits. There is a line where things go too far. It's not ok or acceptable just because everyone does it. Nor because there is a flaw in capitalism that people overlook because they like to picture themselves as the one benefiting from it.
Also contradictory to the over all idea that the big budgets of AAA games are hurting the industry.
haha great show. Still don't understand the west-mex theme that has been on the last couple though :\
EA took my first born son when they passed over Egypt I didn't feel like buying digital goats blood to paint on my door for $9.99... Did you know digital products are considered leased to you rather then you owning them?
Dodged that bullet.
Well they do try to change policy by taking the money they get for online passes and shelling it out to groups with certain agendas.... so... Yea they are in fact trying to change our everyday life that has nothing to do with video games...
@bigbadmamajama1 Just about every, single company does such a thing. And they have been doing so for a very long time. Influencing governmental, political and social institutions is something businesses with large profit margins do.
Whether that's a good or a bad thing is a different story.
@cdog5386 @bigbadmamajama1 However there are important factors like consumer loyalty and reputation to think of and there are plenty of successful company's that don't have to drag their consumers through the dirt.
This bad reputation and publicity has really hurt their bottom line, their bushiness practices are behind the times in a modern world where they can't get away with it like you could in the 90s or before.
This is why the CEO resigned hopefully they see that sometimes it's worth losing a few thousand here or there to keep consumers happy and coming back to buy more.
Look at the Witcher they gave away copy's used no DRM and upgraded everyone's for free all places they could have squeezed more profit and no one would have bat a eye but because they did all those things their games have been consistently outselling their predictions now that's good business.
Well considering the next gen consoles don't play used games. The online passes would become kinda useless. Nice try EA.
Love the voices! They get better every time. Hilarious show, thanks again for the laughs!
That was pretty good but a lot of hash comments in that video about EA. I feel you should have gave them a little more credit for that.
This is getting old. And annoying. I was Danny's videos back. Escape to Mount Stupid was so great.
@dhsk8sb Honestly, I think these are far from stale...but agreed I want ETMS back sooooonnn
The current CEO responding to feedback mail: "I am sorry but I can't hear you over all the MONEY!"
Hey, Johnny so is your shirt suppose to describe what a real man suppose to look like?...and you still didn't tell me when you and jane hooked up
Hey, Johnny! Next week's Feedbackula must be about the EA engineer's comments about the Wii U, and you MUST promise to read all 16500+ before compiling the episode.
The only reason they are doing it is because used games will not even be able to be played online on next gen. Yes this includes the PS4, if you do your homework you'll find out Sony is leaving it up to the publisher. And eventually they will cutoff servers for old current gen games.
I think this has to do with the CEO stepping down, and EA trying to get back on track the way they use to be.
Oh how funny it would have been if they added "This episode of feedbackula has been sponsored by EA" at the end of the video.
P.S: No toast?
So . . this guy is making fun of people that are sick of their privacy being violated.???
It's almost as if he came from a place that's trying to recreate the novel 1984, with draconian "offensive speech" laws, and cameras tracking their citizens every move.
Ofcourse. This is coming from a guy who's country has more cameras monitoring you in one City then whole US. He's used to giving up his rights.
@DevilMightCry @Born_Lucky - Send this hipster HOME. Joke about the declaration of independence being self centered? You sound like a idiot ENGLISHMAN. Go the fuck HOME.
I hate EA as much as anyone but to voted the worst company in America twice, when there are people out there crashing the global economy for short term profits and causing oil spills all over the place! That is a bit much.
@Imperiusmax Please realise, that everyone in the world was allowed to vote for that, most of the world has no interaction with any american bank or oil company..... EA screws over everyone. If I had a choice between a company that causes me anoyence on a near daily basis, or some bank I don't even know about, the choice is easy
