Johnny has been stalking the shadows to listen in to what you've been saying about the newly announced Thief. Not all of it was nice.
Sorry I missed this show when it first came out. This is one of the best feedbackulas i've seen. I love the way you closed the show! Keep em coming.
It's funny hearing all the comments from the younger (or perhaps just unknowledgeable) crowd implying this game is a ripoff of Dishonored, not even aware that the Thief series has around since they were likely in grade school...
Deus Ex and Thief 2 are some of my favorite games, and I thought overall the newest Deus Ex game was well done. I'm hoping Theif 4 follows a similar pattern.
I thought I was going to see comprehensive thoughtful comments instead I see a clumsy attempt at comedy. Don't quit your day job
Only just watched this episode and see you used my comment on Thief 4. I only meant that the art work in the screenshots looked a little Dishonored-like, I wasn't Thief-bashing at all. I've played all the games and love them. Hoping for lots of stealth, stealing and, please, no multi-player!
Nine days is a quite generous estimate on the time it takes to die from dehydration. Of course there are lots of factors, but generally speaking, 3-5 days would be more likely. Sure there are those that have survived for up to 2 weeks without water, but 9 days is a better estimate for lack of food than water.
Your right, who knows what the new Thief is going to be like, it could be a GTA clone for all we know. :D
I have an idea for the hardest of the hardcore gamer, it's called"Stevie Wonder: The Adventure". No more fancy graphics here, its time to "get down" to business and experience your imagination blindfolded. What is it like to make dinner. Burns, cuts, and cursing your creator, are all factors in the adventure of a LIFETIME Time to take gaming to "higeher ground" as you navigate a keyboard only interface to learn how to dress yourself, find your keys, and tap, tap, tap, your way to the front door, all in glorious CGA (Braille interface DLC available launch day for 1.99). We promise THE most complex interface ever devised by man. Kick the noobs to the curb. This is HARD CORE. I hate you.
@wasakawaka Not a comedian, just a guy who has loved games from the time I was born with a 2600 Atari in my hands. I'm just sick of the discourse on game forums. How can you love the thief series and claim it is too bow heavy? How can you love games and be worried that the developer won't just recreate the same experience over and over? How can you be a human being and not realize that all things adapt and change over time and that what you remember as being great can be as much about personal nostalgia as it is practical reality? I just wish there was some balance between our expectations, our egos, and our self-expression. We are all gamers and our number one priority should be supporting each other and our hobby, while demanding that it be treated with respect by those that dictate its direction. I am a lifelong PC gamer who has dipped into the console market when I feel it offers something awesome. I just wanted to demonstrate the absurdity with which our community has fallen to by trying to be as absurd as possible. Glad you liked it ;)
if u want to be a thief,,look at how they steal bananas in the wait and grab a banana line in the super-makret;p,,someone obviously took the greater ones of the bananas and apples,,what a shame,,but seriously thief 4 looks fanatastic;p,,and sounds;p
@gamespot2DBOne Dude! I can't make sense of your comment. Perhaps you should consider using standard punctuation
What is all this pointless jabber about a Dishonored Clone? Its Edios M! Therefore, a Medieval re-skin of Deus Ex Human Revolution. Noobs...
@Jennaralize @fourclawrider the female character is played by alison doody...........DOODY hardyharhar
@fourclawrider @Jennaralize One of the people who produces Hairy Bikers is called Amanda Fidler :-)
@XxWarLordxX502 Sir, Thief is THE stealthy game with a hooded guy. Dishonored borrowed heavily from the original Thief games.
I would send you an abusive 'tweet' but i'm not really down with all that modern technology nonsense, and I'd attempt to send a postcard but the RM would no doubt lose it..
Anyway.. yeah.. It's the latter! I don't have a problem with bows and arrows, more just the matter of every game seems to be including them nowadays and making a huge deal out of them (Crysis by far the biggest culprit). That said however I'll hold my hands up and admit I've never even played thief - wasn't aware the old titles had them in. I take it all back.
Oh, and picking up on my misspelling of 'fetish' hurt man.. I pride myself on speaking correctly with correct punctuation. Pretty much feel like one huge disappointment to my parents now.. The British education system has failed me :'(
@warhawk-geeby
Man, who really gives a fuck? Lol.
It's all good noticing the fads, but some people like the fads. Bows are just good ol' fun and so are zombies.
@H0rizon Ahhh i'm just saying! Bows maybe cool an all but give it a couple of months and we'll be fed up with them. I''ve taken my comments back anyway with regards to Thief, I didn't know the old game had bows in.. Let's all just move on :P
@warhawk-geeby There's a British education system? Crap... when did that happen?! I think I missed out!
I for one am happy that there are bows, in games and out. If there weren't, I would not have been born... my family name means "bow maker"...!
Just be glad that they aren't putting magic wands into Call Of Duty and machine guns into Skyrim (wait... the latter might have been modded in...)...
@Jennaralize Yeah apparently it exists!! God knows where though.. Most likely that little place called London that gets allllll the attention!
Magic wands in Call of Duty would be great fun?! You could magic away all the campers cover :P An yeah, seeing as Master Chief is now in Skyrim i'd say anything was possible..
AWESOME surname, seriously. I mean it. I think people strive to have such meaningful family history! I looked mine up once when visiting a castle in Wales (Conway) and was told I have a very rich heritage, castles, manors and all sorts! Not that i've seen any of that passed down to my family though.. clearly got lost somewhere down the line, or stolen.. probably by bow-folk such as Robin Hood ;) haha.
@Jennaralize Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.. Are you genuinely being for real? That's a pretty damn epic place to live (minus the ghostly goings on). Can't say i'm a huge fan of pictures with eyes that follow you though... That's the last thing you need on a stormy night when you're dying for the loo and there's been a power cut.
Clearly your 5 layers weren't good enough. Bear Grylls would advise getting naked, swimming in a lake and then putting your clothes on. That'd warm you up! Or just stick your head in the xmas turkey Mr Bean style..
@warhawk-geeby @Jennaralize This is where my pops used to live - trust me, castles are COLD! Lucky for him, he's chunky (I don't think I got that gene), but I cooked xmas dinner there once and was wearing about 5 layers and gloves and a hat and I was still freezing cold! The one cool thing it did have though was pictures with eyes that seem to follow you around, and the battlements and kings room ceiling decorations were cool, too!

I suppose it would be quite cool if you could act like a crazy person in COD, just to see people's reactions - run at people with nothing but a spoon and a piece of squid whilst shouting "WHY DID YOU STEAL MY FISH SUPREME!!!"
@Jennaralize Psshhhh! If Yvette Fielding wasn't so obsessed with visiting castles i'd well look into buying one if I had the money.. I'd absolutely love to renovate one to how it once was with the original features, orrrr just go the complete opposite route and turn it into a paintballing location.. That'd be all kinds of sick.
Getting battered whilst making a last stand with a goth trinket (read that as flailing your arms about whilst shouting abuse down the mic) sounds highly entertaining. Or you could just use it as a melee weapon and poke people in the eyes... Bad ass mo fo.
@warhawk-geeby @Jennaralize My dad rented in a castle in Scotland (Kraufurdland) until a couple of years ago, when the Laird's son wanted to take over the B&B business my dad's gf set up there. He lived in Stair House for a bit after that, which also has turrets. Personally, I think such lavish, arrogant, cold and draughty buildings are a waste of space and money, but each to their own! :-)
I sometimes wish that all games were limitless, especially those annoying ones where, for some reason, you can only climb onto or jump over certain objects, but others, like chairs and small walls, are impassable! Magic wands in COD though? Sheeeeeeeet son, that would be DOPE! Cept COD is vaguely based on real life, so the wand would actually be a cheap trinket from a goth store with absolutely no power and you would get completely battered.
I think you should change the intro to this show to a cracktro instead. that would be funny. All Hail The Cracktro! thank you G-spot.
Ahhhh, Feedbakula, the only mini-show that makes sense to my drowned, impish, drug damaged brain :-)
