With reviews of Assassin's Creed 3 and AC3: Liberation hitting the site, Johnny blends into the crowd to hear what they've been saying about Ubisoft's latest.
If I sell you a car without testing whether the brakes are working sufficiently, I think you'd have reason to be quite unhappy. It's just a shame you might not actually get the chance to.
God, I love Feedbackula. My co-workers may think I'm retarded because I'm at my cubicle laughing uncontrollably at the show.
it doesnt matter if the game was scored 1-10, or you think was unfair,,,it all depends on how u see it once uve actually played it... then you can make a score for yourself.. i never hated any game(much more game scores),but im sure there are many games im not interested in,,thats just the way it is... we all have our own unique tastes...
10 on mgs4 deserves a permanent grain of salt when watching/reading GS reviews. They still have valid opinions for the most part. I personally like to read here,Game informer and IGN and assume the correct review is somewhere in the middle between their scores. I respect the lower scores GS generally gives before the inflated GI scores any day.
Love the show, love the reviews lately honest and point out flaws when there are flaws. Don't want some review that coddles you or only tells you what you think you want to hear. Thanks much an keep up the great work. =)
I love this show it is pretty funny . Plus we get to laugh at all the stupid people who cannot make sense and think they know better than people who actually MAKE A LIVING playing these games . Anyway keep pissing people off with your review Gamespot because whenever i have a bad day i just read the comments on this site and pass judgement on people i do not know . Ah shit i just realized this comment puts me in the same category as the idiots i am bashing . Ah well nobody"s perfect .

@Nikosnik123 You made a comment and then said "no comment"? That along with the "hairy friend" makes me think we have a applicant for the next episode.
Note to GS, none of the rest of us want to see Shaun's "hairy friend" either! Nothing personal but we just don't want to get to know him that well.
Thanks from your loyal audience!
don't worry Johnny - there are more people on this site that trust you guys than the people who complain about the reviews. people just can't get it though their head that reviews are, like you said, meant to put the game into perspective. no matter what type of product is being reviewed, the audience should always take it with a grain of salt and consider other review sites, their friend's opinion, and their own thoughts before deciding to make a purchase. I don't always agree with every piece of every review, but I do trust your opinions and I always use gamespot as my starting point to develop my personal idea of any game.
notice how he barley addresses the comments and just focuses on poking fun at people. because they know that there is truth to the comments
@mediaprchsguide Truth in comments written by people who are angry about a game not receiving a score 'they' think the game should have gotten? Riiiighttt....
@mediaprchsguide Not sure theres a conspiracy,or that it matters if there is.I'm pretty sure their having a laugh with us and maybe even trying to stop some folk from typing with their foreheads.
@mediaprchsguide He pretty much summed it up at the end:
draw your own conclusions with what the reviewer shows you and don't go smothering him for pointing out flaws.
PS: GS and everyone else need to review the game that you get on the disk; not everyone want to go mess with patches and DLC and really,
they're right.
The Monster Hunter games always get around 6.0 or less but I've bought every game in the series. I couldn't care less how they score it. It's just a review written from a ONE perspective. Everyone will have a different opinion. Watching random gameplay videos on YouTube is a better way to game gauge if you want to buy the game or not.
Waah, my favorite game didn't get the score I wanted!!!11 Better write a spiteful comment!!111oneleventy
I was thinking that just before Johnny said it. Reviews of any kind, whether they are for movies, games or TV shows, just give you another perspective to look at. Of course there will be times when a Gamespot reviewer does a review that someone won't agree with, but there's no need to get pissed off about it. Make your own assessment, don't just sit there saying "I'm right, you're wrong, now fuck off!!!" It's a personal opinion. For instance Halo 4 received a 9/10. That's the reviewers opinion of what the game should be scored. If I reviewed Halo 4, I'd give it a 7/10.
damn, I promised myself not to watch any reviews or anything considering the game until it's released on pc :P
Damn, teaches me to respond to a game review and forget to do a spell check, "Fortunately".
I really thought my voice would of been represented by that drunken irish guy, or Mcinnis.
Yes, Danny. Most of his best work in my opinion has been with an alcoholic beverage in hand!
@Valkyrie_44 "...would of been..."
Correction: "...would 'have' been..."
Why stop at spell checking? Try working on your grammar, too! xD
Great show! I thought Johnny's statement about a review just trying to give you perspect was spot on... Laughed my arse of at the end!
I rented AC3 and quite enjoyed it. I though the naval missions were the best part - multiplayer naval battle would be excellent.
This is seriously the best show that GamesSpot has come out with. I'm just waiting for the Feedbackula episode of Feedbackula!
Jonneh! Too fucking good to reply to tweets? Asshole. Great show though, pretty sure he isn't the writer.
@DSkinMasque Apologies for missing the tweet - what did it say? I do write the show by the way. Seb made the GameSpot game in this episode though.
I guess my bet on this episode of feedbackula being about that article on MoH:W was wrong. I owe you ten internets, Johnny.
What's this Assassin's Creed 3 everyone keeps going on about? I've been in a WWF Attitude coma for the past few days playing WWE 13.
@DSkinMasque Yeah, I've not even got to creating anything yet. I know that's going to eat up an insane amount of time.
