I love my zombie games, and nothing can make me stop! Been a big fan of zombies ever since i was little and saw night of the living dead on my local tv stations that shows late night horror movies, So i think zombies are finally getting their just deserts, imo, they have always have been viewed as a redheaded stepchild in of the monster movies, and am glad they finally get their exposure, even if it is a lil' over done lately with everyone jumping on the zombie bandwagon for popularity sake...
Well, at least he didn't talk about War Z. Upcoming zombie survival sandbox State of Decay looks promising.

But they should concentrate in new things like dinosaurs - old Dino Crisis was really cool.
btw. in the time the house of the dead, dead rising 1, and half life 2 came out there weren't over used yet.
I don't mind all the zombie games out there, some of them are unique enough that it doesn't matter, like Dead Rising is nothing like L4D which is nothing like Resident Evil. Its no different than all these war games where you kill terrorists or russians who all act the same, or how about Halo the covenant act like any human enemy from most fps games, they shoot at you or if they are flood they act more like a zombie and try and rush you and overwhelm you with numbers.

Left 4 Dead games very pretty awesome. I still sometimes have all night LAN parties with whiskey and Left 4 Dead 2 :DBut when that becomes boring - Quake 3 all the way!
Good episode, but it felt rushed...not quite hitting the quality benchmark that so many of your other videos have reached.
There hasn't been a single zombie game I liked until Dayz but it's too buggy so I hope the stand alone game gets released soon and is much smoother.
@DarthJoe77 Agreed. Been a fan of zombie fiction in general for as long as I can remember, and games a great way to tell a zombie story. Of course most of them are just mindless blast fests, but even those have their merit.
I did expect this video to make mention of the years when zombies were just a throwaway enemy. Games like Ghosts & Goblins and Castlevania has zombies, but just as low level killables rather than a proper threat.
Hey, with the movie on the way...I think we all can expect a World War Z game as well!! I really like Zombies....got tons of genious crap movies from all over the world and ranging from 70's to 00's So it was kinda funny to see how many Zombie games were made in the last 3 or 4 years...lot's of crap and a few really good ones. Sadly it is all about to go south with the producers of the Twilight movies releasing a Zombie movie...from that point on I think I will be shamed to say I like Zombie movies. Really sad...
Very nice, but Danny you forgot Wax Works (amiga platform), a truly horrifying game at its time. perhabs you remember the cemetery level and that mine. being lost in that cemetery was absolutely terrifying. why not making a Mount Stupid episode about the history of non-shooting 1st person games?
I have yet to buy a zombie game but I have been following it and Lollipop Chainsaw will probably change that.
Yeah the industry is kinda overflowing with zombies titles however some of them are real gems. Its better to just stay away from the other ones.
left 4 dead 1&2 and killing floor are the best zombie games out there, dead island is ok but its not the best
lol nice one... im not really into zombie games but resident evil 1-4 are classics i loved and the red dead redemption dlc was funny as hell... but you forgot one "major" zombie game, one i peed my pants laughing: stubbs the zombie... :) i played the campaign through in one night playing coop with a friend on his xbox! and one of the few games where you can actually play a zombie and turn people :D
@g1rldraco7 house of the dead is actually more funny than its scary.its got one of the crappiest voice acting of all time.Even the zombies are pathetic, it takes a single zombie about 15 minutes to kill you even when aren't shooting.
