You forgot the excellent Rebelstar: Tactical Command on Gameboy Advance, made by Julian Gollop from the original XCOM. It was actually really fun and a good way to forgot that there were no new XCOM games coming out.

Real GOTY, but knowing every media outlet it will prob be BlOPS 2 or Creed 3. Mainly Blops will get it cause it is 'new' and 'creative' What a joke what happend to strategy games and actual thinking. Blame it on fast pass society and reality tv... oh yea and stupid people

Wow this really kinda makes Firaxis/Microprose out to be Assholes huh? And they did talk about XCOM Apocalypse. It was the last game from Mythos and kinda bombed, but I thought it was pretty great too! Im real happy with the way the new Firaxis XCOM is looking and playing so far too!

Pretty much dead on except for one xcom like game never mentioned: UFO: Afterlight - which is a surprisingly good version of the genre with updated graphics - it came out a number of years ago - and still is playable today.

@jamenta8 They only talked about XCOM franchise games. Meaning that XCOM is in the title.

@Gwarpup That is why I said "xcom like" and I realize they only talked about XCOM in the title. The video review would have been more comprehensive if it had also included this game - which IMO was part of the genre - albeit without the name.
