Ah, the Bluffer's Guide becomes Escape from Mount Stupid. Its... different. Of course I love this series whatever its called. You, Mr O'Dwyer, are a legend.
This vid was just so so. I got the idea you we're trying to show but I wasn't a fan of the green screen bit.
Lol!! (3:20) Is that a real thing? @bluefox755 I agree, this is the funniest Bluffer's Guide yet! Hm, a good story in an FPS... Goldeneye, maybe? Or Fallout 3 (although the VATS might disqualify it).
WTF!? This game sux :D, seems there is only 2 colors , black white, all looks grey grey grey, nothing more, 1 type of mobs and few bosses, crap weapons, useless granades and poor controls, bad console port, waste of time and money!
hehe irish accents: any ways how can you not like the gears story at least its not like call of duty wich just reapeats itself.
@Doomrul That's weird, I thought gears was third person. Why does everyone think FPS's can't have a good story? Halo has a good story IMO so does MW2 and Black Op's.

Gears of War is already on par with other multiplayer games like call of duty and battlefield. The problem is people buy it thinking its a game about the story. It's the multiplayer that made this game so successful. Most average joes pick up the game for horde and campaign. So do I, but if you think that's where your money ends you are a sad noob. The multiplayer is far more skill based than call of duty. COD is like starcraft. It's all about map memorization and using cookie cutter weapon loadouts. In Gears of War you can actually play whole games without dying if you are good enough. In call of duty people spawn behind you and camp in corners.
@hortys_999 Nice that you like gears and all but in the end Halo is the most iconic shooter on 360. Namely because it's the poster child of the xbox having been the original must own title on Xbox and a definitive exclusive for the system sales wise and popularity wise on XBL. It doesn't matter whether you think Gears is better or not, Halo is the most iconic for the majority of people (especially those with sense) for the reasons stated. It's MS's flag ship franchise and that's why it gets so much investment, releases, attention, marketing, sales etc. More people associate Xbox with Halo than Gears regardless of which you prefer.

@ShadowofSonic I am honest enough to admit when I think mistakes were made (gears 2) but Gears 1 was a great game setting out solid mechanics. high production values and a realistic combat with cover and brutality setting the standard for TPS games in my opinion. It's got fluid gameplay mechanics and the story was the only part lacking (although forgiveable in the first instalment the second failed to do anything with it, the third however seems to rectify this with more emotional story, better dialogue and a bigger focus on characters). The series is quite brilliant to be honest. There's not much to fault the series on other than the lack of development in Gears 2 which has now seemingly been rectified. Compare it to the random adventures of drake which never seem to connect much (short of running into old characters) and it can be seen you've got a game with more solid mechanics, on par graphics and better story than Uncharted (namely because it's stories actually go somewhere and aren't just seemingly random treasure hunts that don't connect or effect the Uncharted world in any way). I think in order of TPS it only loses to Metal Gear and that is simply because Metal Gear is phenomenal in regards to having serious dialogue and a richly explored world of freakish terrorism that is spanned into cold wars, terrorist incidents and even future warfare.

@hortys_999... What the Pokemon18986 guy meant about Halo being the most iconic was that because of Halo on the OG Xbox is the reason the console survived back then... and it's true. Halo was the original Xbox's sole driving force back then, the main reason to buy the console, and without it the console may not have survived. I think Gears is a much better game than Halo also. But what he means is that because of Halo keeping the Xbox alive back then, we now have awesome games like Gears on our console of choice TODAY.
Another stellar video from yourself Danny. Love the "interview" you had with Cliffy B and reminded me of when something similar happend in wrestling way back in 2000. Whoever recommended Lost Odyssey as a worse story for your video is wrong! Now, the rest I can pretty much go with but I think that's one of the better stories this generation but I guess whoever said it didn't think the same.

Damn I still have to wait 5 days till I get my Gears Limited Edition Console + Game. Now all these reviews are starting to pop up with amazing scores and I can't even watch the videos because I don't want to spoil anything... This is madness...!
OMG this was funny! do you write and edit these videos yourself? on topic: cant w8 to play this, have played the last 2 even though i dont have an xbox(says how good it is) and will play this too I still wish they would release it for pc though :( (me gusta nice graphics)
