halo 4 was an XBOX exclusive game=it's not gonna win this 1,,it'll be between dishonored,guild wars 2,,far cry 3,,ME3,,n borderlands 2
Anybody who says Mass Effect is either on drugs or a bioware fan boy, or a combination of the two. Frankly it was a flat out embarrassment that ME 3 narrowly beat dishonored, and probably because the majority of gamers cant be bothered to play games that dont have numbers at the end of them. Fact is Dishonored won Xbox and PS3 goty from the editors, we can safely through out the wii u winner, so the only real challenger is the pc winner of goty. It hard to say who will win, I would say the pc goty because it beat Dishonored, but I honestly dont know how much of that win was the editors wanting to share a little love when Dishonored already won 2 of the 3 main consoles.
Since this is editors choice and not people's choice,don't be surprised if u find the underdog winning.My guess is prob Halo 4,Dishonoured,Far Cry 3,Borderlands 2 and Planetside 2.One of them
My favorite experiences this year have been Borderlands 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Assassin's Creed 3, and Mass Effect 3. I guess I'd give it to Borderlands. Major contenders I haven't played are Dishonored, Far Cry 3, and Halo 4. Pretty fun lineup this year.

@jemoedr MGS4 four years ago? Demon's Souls after that? Hell even when RDR won I was happy... What game do you think should win this year?
@jonnybutler11 I don't know, since there wheren't much good games this year if you ask me. I'd say maybe farcry 3 or mass effect 3. They are "lesser evils". AC3 had such a bad story and was so bugged that i wonder how it could have even reached the nominees.
Hmmm... Journey was ok, but not a "huge" game.
@jemoedr Yeah maybe asking GOTY for it is pushing it, but that was definitely some of the most fun I've with a game in 2012, despite how short it was all of it's elements tied together in the perfect gaming experience for me...I agree, AC3 was very disappointing, but if say fc3 or me3 or even borderlands 2 won I wouldn't complain too too much. However, I'd like for them to give it to a new IP (Dishonored, despite a few shortcomings, or? Journey?) :P

2 Like I'd be very happy were ME3 to win this bracket, especially after GW2 was given, quite unfairly in my opinion, both the PC and RPG goty (mmo's should really get a bracket of their own).
Truly a great year for gaming. Personally I would give it to ArenaNet's innovative and game-changing MMO, Guild Wars 2, but there are so many amazing games that could just as easily walk away with the gold this year: ME3, Halo4, X-Com, Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3, The Walking Dead, and Dishonored just to name a few. What a great year in gaming!
Same day as my Birthday, so maybe check at some point. It better not be ME3, it's good but definitely not GOTY.
1 Like Can I just say how happy I am about the winners this year. Finally, GS nominations/winners I can agree with. All quality games that deserved their awards. Nice to see that the choices weren't all that popular either, which is all right by me. My vote for GotY: Dishonored. Don't really care if it's popular or not, the game is brilliantly designed and a blast to play. Could have had a better story/characters, but as far as gameplay goes, more game developers should take note of that games design.
This time voting are going very furious than previous year's. My choice is AC3 . I hope it comes time ELITE 8 ..
