This is even better than ship simulator 2006
Ship simulator 2008 is a very good game and some of the best parts are if you hit something you ship will take damage and if it gets to 100% it will slowly sink and the game will say that you have damaged or sank your ship start over.
Also you have more ships including a cruse liner.
The best part is seeing your ship slowly sink
The game play
You are the captain of any ship that you want to sail you have complete control of the ship and on most ships you can walk around while you ship is under way, one ship there is one of the most famous ships of all time the RMS TITANIC yes she is still in this game, you can control her and take her any where, there is a mission for the TITANIC you can sail her from a port and sail to new York across the Atlantic ocean there you will find 4 ice burgs and you have to go around them and get to New York safely.
And if you get an up-date you can sail the same route that TITANIC took 95 years ago, from Southampton to New York.
The graphic
The graphics are very good the ships are in good detail and if you are on the out side view seeing the side for the ship you can see its reflection in the water in very good detail, but there could be some improvement made to the graphics.
The sound
The sound is very good, the engine sounds are very realistic and the ships horn well if it sneaked up on you and blew the horn you would be frightened because they are so realistic especially the RMS TITANIC'S hers is very good for a 95 year old ship
My suggestion is that you buy this game if you really love ships
