a game I want to love despite its catastrophy of a bug ridden engine.
-> constant crash when starting a mission.
installed 1.42 update
-> 2 missions did work, but then...
-> game hang after loading mission, no Alt-F4, no ctrl-alt-.del, no alt-tab...
-> it just hangs without any response, had to reboot the whole PC.
installed "New Horizons" addon.
game hangs again after loading missions...
This happened 4 times!!!!
other bugs:
had to rescue a sailor, and the game constantly told me I overrun him, although I wasnt even near the bugger!!!
after exiting harbor, game asks for location to travel to (instead of just sailing on, no no that is "out of landscape area...", ok I selected some other area, but the OK clicking just didnt do anything. Game hangs again, had to reboot the whole machine, damn....
other non-immersive crap: the ship's wake goes away way to early.
If you run a huge cruiser across the calm sea you should see it's wake til the horizon, but not in this game... after about 200m the sea is as it was before......
I am now afraid of starting this game although I really wanna play it, because I am afraid I have to reboot my machine again and again, which really sucks when you've got some important stuff running in bg.
(game crashes without any bg tasks as well...)

I dont have much trouble with other games crashing... this game is fun, but the crashing kills the fun!
