Ship Simulator 2006 is the "Unique" new simulator sailing onto our pc screens!
If you think of such games an Flight Simulator that is a very popular and fantastic simulator but Ship Simulator 2006 can hardly be called a simulator.
The game has a wide range of different boats but you will need to spend quite alot of time trying to unlock the further levels in the game.
The game includes such boats as a towboat, speedboat, oil tanker and even the Titanic! But really the wide variety of ships does not really enchance the gameplay that much!
The graphics on this game of are impressive but basic. Only a few objects on land suggest that the most time has been spent on the water.
If your a simulator game played i wouldn't suggest this game.
Each boat has only 2-3 different things you can do with it
1. Steer
2. Accelerate/Reverse
3. Tilt Boat
And thats it, nothing else!
The map view on this game is graphically horrible, it has been taken from a map and is not very clear where you are.
This game includes "Traffic" on the rivers but this doesn't enchance the gameplay, it just annoys you!. You can't turn your cargo ship into a dock if a taxi boat come whizzing in the way every 1 minute
This game include a money system that doesn't really work that well.
You get money from completing missions but if you crash your boat or crash into another boat you lose money. This become annoying when you have spent 15 minutes sailing the slowest ship around then at the last turn you whack into the wall and get a hefty bill of 1000+
Overall, This game can appeal to anyone, its just this game is too short and too boring to become anything special!
