Quenches the ninja drought

User Rating: 9.1 | Shinobido Imashime PS2
Good ninja games are hard to find, many you shiny graphics to draw attention away from crap gameplay or weak storylines and while shinobido may not be as pretty it makes up for it in its execution.
the game has you take on the role of a ninja named Crow, you wake up from a battle with no memories except for a note telling you to head for a lords castle where you are told you live, sneaking into the castle acts as a training level teaching you how to hide your self and the basics of attacking, once you kill you way in or sneak whatever, you find your lord in a war meeting, it seems the land isn't in good times and every side seems to want your services, the rest of the game sees you doing missions for your choice of 3 lords, your actions affect their armies standing making them weaker or stronger, for example kill a general to weaken their leader ship, or steal rice to starve their soliders and feed your own. By doing each mission you fight against others and thus lowering their respect of you which effects what missions they might give...and their reward, however finishing a missions with on one to tell a tale of your part, or avoid dection completely, will enable you to play both sides or all of them at once, however once the game wears on killing the lords becomes a popular and well paid missions, all the while your past is reveled as you collect you memories trapped in stones and try to piece togeather what has happened to your clan, with unlockable characters and a huge range of items to use plus your own bobby trapped garden makes this game a worthwhile buy.
