The shadow of war looms over the tiny province of Utakata...
End of the Muromachi Period -- the late 16th century:
The power of the Ashikaga government is on the decline after the Onin/Bunmei civil war.
Civil unrest is on the rise and conflict rocks province after province.
Even Utakata, long peacefully ruled by the House of Ichijo,
is now threatened.
However, something in Utakata gives even the most power-hungry lord pause -- the prestigious Asuka Ninja Clan.
It was thought that the combined protection of the
House of Ichijo and the Asuka ninja would preserve the peace in Utakata.
But this time of peace came to an end when the Asuka Ninja clan was destroyed in a single night...
The provincial lords, who had been watching and waiting for an opportunity to strike at Utakata, wasted no time in making their moves.
And they were accompanied by rival ninja clans hoping to take the place of the Asuka Ninja.
Besieged by rival governments and ninja clans, Utakata stands on the
brink of war...
Amidst this monumental struggle for power, a bloody battle is unfolding in the shadows...
cool eh And the charecters are First is goh the crow Goh is a ninja dressed in black who has found his way to the troubled province of Utakata.
He has completely lost his memory, making his identity and what he is fighting for a mystery.
The only clues to his identity are his clothes and the many ninja skills he possesses. As he wanders through Utakata hoping to uncover his past, he leaves a trail of bodies behind him...
But his superhuman ninja skills and killing techniques ensure that he will be drawn into the struggle for power in Utakata... then comes Zaji the howk Zaji is a taciturn ninja working
for his own ends in Utakata.
The patch covering his right eye conceals a wound from a previous battle.
Note that his clothes are very similar to those worn by Gou.
In "Shinobido: Imashime" ("Way of the Ninja: ") the player becomes a ninja trying to survive in an unstable world. As in the "Way of the Samurai" series, the player is free to decide what to think and what to do. Although the details of the system cannot yet be revealed, it will respect the free will of the player.
