If you ever liked tenchu, then this could still be enjoyable. The bad AI and reused maps can be overlooked to a degree. Here is a list of goods and bads.
Good
1. The item creation. There seemed to be no limits to the potency of items you create. It is entirely possible to kill minibosses with one bomb or exploding sushi. The stronger the effect the larger the aoe and such.
2. The open maps make for some randomly generated spawns of enemy. Variety if nothing else atleast.
3. Voice acting is okay.
4. The fighting system isn't so bad if kept short.
5. Missions having an impact on the different faction being noticeable is nice. Hungrier soldiers, upgraded soldiers, new moves for enemies, etc.
6. Jumping, wall running, grappling hook, and flying controls well.
Bad
1. Ai is dumb. Part of the fun is what you can get away with. The rest is uninteresting no challenge dumb.
2. Repetitive missions. Randomly generated missions in this case is very low quality of the same kind over and over. Exploding sushi does not get old.
3. Shallow fighting system, you'll be glad you only have to wack bosses, and even then some homemade explosives speed it up.
4. It is short. Longer if you want to grind levels and build nuclear sushi and supersaiyan pills.
5. Bare environment, models, and map options.

Old school Tenchu fans should love this game, everyone else, perhaps not so much. Flawed but fun ninja action on the go.
