Before Final Fantasy Tactics, there was Shining Force

The shining force series was by far the best series on the Sega Genesis. I remember playing this game for hours and hours and beating it never stopped me from playing it again. I don't know if it was the unique story or its battle system, but all I know is that when I think of Genesis I think of Shining Force.

Shining Force II is just as good as the original with more characters and a great story. The graphics at the time were good but not revolutionary, the detail in backgrounds and characters is what deserves the most points. Although I give this game a high ranking it does in fact lack in one area, sound. At first it is unique and kinda entertaining, but after awhile it just gets plain annoying. If I were to play the game again today I would probably listen to the music for nostalgic value but not for very long.

Overall, if you can find a copy of this game I recommend playing it not just once but a couple of times
