Can't go wrong with Shin Megami Tensei games.

The new addition to the Shin Megami Tensei series, SMT Strange Journey, may not be what you imagined if you're new to the series. However, I'm sure that with playing the game yourself for a while, you will be addicted.

Unlike the spin-off's such as SMT Persona, Devil Survivor, Digital Devil Saga, and Devil Summoner, SMT Strange Journey is a pure dungeon crawler as its predecessor SMT Nocturne (which is actually Shin Megami Tensei 3) and follows along the original formula that SMT 1, 2, and 3 do. There's booby-trapped floors, huge dungeons, first-person view, demon fusion, and demon alignments (law, chaos, neutral, etc).

There is indeed a story, only this time it has a sci-fi kind of twist. If you're into sci-fi and love RPGs, this will be a game for you. If you're a die-hard RPG fan, this is a game for you. If you're a fan of Atlus games--you're going to want to pick up this game too. And guess what--if you're a Shin Megami Tensei fan--well, you better already have this game.

Without spoiling anything, basically, it's almost like Pokemon for adults only much harder. You get to ask demons to join your party and fuse them into stronger demons as you explore the vast dungeons and save humanity. It's very addictive and you will play for hours if you sit down with it. You cannot go wrong with this game. Be warned that this game IS harder than most games, so if you're tired of the super easy games out there that take only a few hours to beat, you should be pretty satisfied with this.
