Persona 3: FES... officially the best game since Final Fantasy VII. Read for more!
Firstly, the story is based in modern Tokyo at a high school called Gekkoukan High. Various shadow appear, and an undercover school club called SEES with students who are able to release personality based monsters called Persona.
These students fight for the right of justice.
I adore the storyline as various situations arise throughout the story, the SEES club counter these situations. With brilliant voice acting, the character's are easily considered favourites to the player. Character designs are good, but not the best since it is only a 2006-2007 Ps2 game.
What makes this game perfect.. Well everything. The MC (Main Character) is a mysterious transfer student who resides at a dorm full of his newly introduced friends. MC does not have a voice although you can select what to say to the person, and by doing this can unlock 2 different types of endings. MC can switch to various Persona which is a mystery to other students, and will explain why later.
Gameplay, very addictive. Turn based gameplay, with the ability to switch Persona each turn. Your maximum party of 4 (including MC). Although unlike other turn-based games, you cannot control what your other accompanied characters do. They are determined by AI (Artificial Intelligence). With the support party command (such as Knock Down, Full Assault and Heal/Support) your characters are able to fight with you in battle alone. If MC reaches 0 HP the game is over (unless you choose the beginners difficulty you can revive up to 10 times). Critical hits, and weakness shots to the enemies faced, can result in your character being rewarded by receiving one extra turn. Knocking Down all enemies can result in an All-Out Attack.
Party's AI can be annoying at times, although they all have their necessary strategies in doing so. By scanning enemies (with the R1 button) before completing each turn, can make you characters more knowledgeable and useful in battle.
A series of a game in one CD. You have your original Persona 3: FES "The Journey" of 60+ hours, and another game called "The Answer" 30+ hours. This is a long game, and will consume a lot of your time therefore it is needed to spend hours every time you consider playing this game otherwise you will rarely proceed through the game.
Overall, this is the best game I have ever played, I can explain a million and one reasons why this game is the best. But I think i can let the purchaser try this game for themselves.
