If you played the first game you'll love this game

I love the MegaTen Series and I've played most of the ones I can find and when I stumble across Digital Devil Saga I love the game the story the characters and the environment and I wanted to get the second game since. Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga 2 takes place after the 1st when your whole world gets deleted and you jump into the data stream to avoid being deleted by Angel and all of you got separated and now you must find each other in this new world. Of course you play as Serph as he travels to find his comrades and find Sera. The Story is breath-taking (only if you played the 1st) as you play the game slowly you'll find out the truth about who you and your comrades really are and why you were brought here. In the beginning you'll see an unusual cut-scene where you'll see kid versions of you and the party with an adult which you have no idea what is going on until the cut-scene after where your back to Serph as an adult. But never the less time will tell later on. This new world your in is also cursed you can say where the sun isn't so bright anymore. Anyone who touches the suns light will turn into stone which is of course death. Thus you must find out what is going on in this world. The Characters you meet from the first game are still here in the second game and you'll find new and loveable characters here in the second but be-careful on who you find heartwarming and heartbreaking in this game... The Gameplay is similar to the first changes are the Mantra is different from the first it is now a hex version but a more easier version to obtain more skill and hidden skills as well. When fighting you'll come across new segments into fighting: 1.You'll see jack frost and instead of fighting him, he'll quiz you instead so if you know Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 you'll know the questions but over confidence will get the best of you. He'll give you an item for each question you answer correctly but get one wrong and he'll run away. 2.Omoikane is back but not alone, this time there are 5 Omoikane and the bonus is more different instead each Omoikane has 1 weakness and voids against everything else but they all randomize each encounter so you'll have to be really lucky to find out which goes which and you cannot use Ma- skills or almighty since they will void and run away right after you use it. 3.This is the most noticeable the Berserk mode, like the ambush you'll be in human form but instead some of your human parts will be in demon form and your character will be dark and yellow eyed as well. In this mode your attack, critical rate, and exp. doubles it's chances but your accuracy and defense dramatically lowers so it's a game of chance but you can always run away if you fell like you can't win the escape chance is 100%. (Atma gains stays the same no bonus) My only problem with this game is as everyone says the encounter rate is way too high in this game but eventually you'll get use to it. The Sound effects are the same as the first so no change there except for the new stuff of course but won't go into details since they are spoilers :/. The Music is different from the 1st which I love to hear and gives the game a new look to it a better look. I love the whole soundtrack to this game when fighting, (boss, normal non-escape, or special) when roaming, when dungeon crawling, I just love it. The Graphics are the same as the 1st so no change there except for the new stuff of course. But like all the other MegaTen games they use the same look for most attacks or spells for example frost breath, flame breath? looks the same just different attack and color. Not complaining much though still looks good. The Controls are smooth when roaming or dungeon crawling or fighting. The Camera is also no problem you can change the camera which the R Stick or the L1 or R1 or even the Circle button. Digital Devil Saga is a fun game to play with an interesting storyline making you guess 24/7 and Digital Devil Saga 2 answers all those questions yet draws in more questions and the game will answer those questions with a game that will make your heart warm.
