    Devil Survivor is one THE reasons I own a DS. It sits right next to The World Ends with You, Chrono Trigger and Lunar Knights as one of my absolute favs on any device.

    He makes it sound like it's really in-depth and has lots of innovative RPG features. He doesn't mention that the lack of items (not just magical or elemental items, a lack of ITEMS) means that balancing your team and exploiting weaknesses turns into a sort of pokemon juggle-fest, which due to your limited slots for demons just ends up being annoying. Everything about this game's gameplay seems to be about halfway there, but the story is great (though you need to turn on a special option and learn an undisclosed button combination to skip dialogue, which there are reams of before major boss battles, that require many retries - and that's kinda weak).

    One of the best RPGs I've played this gen. Recommended to any RPG fans.

    @Jacava
    At this point only DSiWare and DSi enhanced/exclusive game cards are region locked on the DSi. This game is none of those.

    I love this game. Its simple-yet-intricate battle system blended with its varied and epic storylines makes it one of the most fun games I've ever played.

    To those who are asking about EU release dates, don't get your hopes up; it probably won't be coming out over here. Just import it like I did; DS/DSLite are region-free. Unfortunately for DSi owners, they -aren't- region-free, and you'd have to find yourself a cheap DS around somewhere. (I couldn't say how much they're going for.)

    This is the first Shin Megami Tensei game that I've played, and I love it. The story line is great and the game play is addictive. The artwork is great and it really does look like places in Tokyo. Best game on the DS so far...

    So far it has the most satisfactory combat system i've saw in a while, makes level grinding painless and fun.

    The Story is quite nice, like the other Persona titles.

    First best buy this year (had to import since it seems Nintendo Europe belives that "School Musical" is better option for distribution than this one)

    I don't think that he sounded that bad... he has a nice voice but yeah... he could improve on his tone just a little... could be worse... the game looks creepy but fun.^-^ I would probably like to give it a try.

    I have to agree with the previous comments. It's sounds like the guy reading the review just got handed a paper that someone else wrote about a game he knows nothing of and isn't interested of at all. No life.

    But with the sound off this video is interesting No news of European release though so I would have to import it. I still have plenty of SMT games to play that have been released in here so maybe this can wait.

    I own and LOVE SMT: Devil Survivor (DS). It's almost a portable Persona game. I place it up there with The World Ends With You, Lunar Knights and Chrono Trigger as great DS RPGs.

    This reviewer is terrible. I could bearly get through the review without falling asleep. Sounds like he just came off a really bad high.

    Does this guy talk like this in real life? He sounds like he's reading off someone's will to the family of the dead person. "...and to my nephew Sam, I leave my stamp collection, although I would like for my rarest stamp, the one of the duck, to go to my niece, Katie." Ugh. I want to like this game, but the reviewer's monotonous voice and complete lack of personality makes it so hard to be interested.
