Newcomer to the series and I like this game.

User Rating: 9.5 | Devil Survivor 2 DS
I know this game has been out for a year, but I recently bought it on Amazon because I remember reading about the game on Gamespot and it ended up being worth the buy.

Story 9.5/10
You play as the nameless protagonist (you get to name him) through an world crisis where demons and aliens invade Earth and are bent on destroying Earth. The character and his friends use a cell phone app that shows them when people die to prevent it from happening, as well as summon demons to help protect them and fight back in a dangerous post apocolyptic world. The characters all have different personalities and are incredibly interesting to follow. You also decide what your character says and how you move along the story which the can change based on what you do and say.

Gameplay 10/10
I enjoyed the gameplay because it felt like a normal JRPG, but with a fire emblem twist. I am new to the series so I am no expert, but it is really fun and I enjoyed every moment. You have can select four leaders which will in turn control 2 demons each. Each character can have abilities and passives which will make them stronger and change how the battle will go. When the mission starts it becomes a turn based fire emblem like game where you move characters and attack selected enemies. When the attacks happen, it becomes a the final fantasy style combat where you select abilities and attacks to defeat enemies. Each monster/character is given one attack each, but have a chance to earn an extra attack doing certain things like criticals. You can also go into free battles to earn money and levels with out spending time of the day, where I come to you have 7-8 days until the final battle and anything can happen during these days. When you want stronger demons, you can fuse them to make stronger demons, but some demons require your fusion level to be higher. There is an auction house to buy other demons against other NPC characters and you be the highest bidder to win that demon.

Graphics 9.5/10
I am not the spineless idiot that believes graphics make a game. The graphics for a handheld were just fine to me. The graphics and art style just fit with the game.

Sounds 9.5/10
The sounds and music are really good in this game. I love the music tracks of the game and sometimes I just sit there and listen to the music for a minute or so just because it was well done.

There is no multiplayer so there is no need to worry about that thankfully because I enjoy single player games. The game was really well done, there is a learning curve, but I enjoy that aspect. It is a really fun game and I enjoy it.
