NFS: Shift 2 Xbox 360 review This is a gear you don't want to shift into!
Fast forward to 2011 and we get the sequel which is not only not worth a buy..It's not even imo good enough to be a rental.
Simply put this game plays AWFUL. The feeling of the cars feels off. You try to turn a bend and hope for the best only to go wide and have a AI car smash you out the way so aggressive, you'd think this was a game of bumper cars and who hits the guy the hardest wins! and no It's not me failing at taking turns it just how the game controls.
I suppose I should take about the difficulty? Well put it on the hardest and die a fast and painful death or put it on easy and die a...fast death again. The AI is far too aggressive for a racer. The handling of each cars feels the same and there is no satisfaction from the driving.
I didn't try the MP since I needed a pass code and I was so fed up with the frustrations and unsatisfying driving model that I got my Shift 2 disc and put it back in it's sleeve and posted it back to Lovefilm, where some other poor soul will have to put up with the same frustrations.
I think you've gathered I really didn't like shift 2 and that is correct. I have little positive to say other than good visuals and a nice sense of speed.
Overall - You're better of with the recently released Dirt 3 and if you have to have a new NFS title, then go straight back to the far superior NFS Shift from 2009!
