Shift 2 Unleashed have a few issues, but all in all its a great game and not as bad as some would say.

The concept of the game is great, having a Formula D champion guiding you through the game is helpful and motivating. Also good visuals as well as nice tracks and cars.
EA is trying to make Shift 2's racing experience to as real life as possible, which all racing genre games are striving for.
But the biggest problem is that this game is really NOT intended for the Keyboard, there are many bad review of the game based on this, since the reaction time is a bit delayed which causes frustration when trying to turn a sharp corner in an intense heat of racing battle. There are other few issues which can be over looked from the game.
So in order achieve the best possible experience from this game is to play with a Steering Wheel, especially with the list of wheels supported by the game.
Otherwise, NFS: Shift 2 Unleashed is not that bad of a game after all.
