This was my first in the series that I played so I cant really compare it to the previous games. But, all in all even with a few bugs like some random lip syncing issues this is a really good game. Story kept me interested and not wanting to stop playing, I like the way the portrayed Holmes and Watson but that can be debated because some have said other wise. Music is nice, graphics are sub-par for most peoples standards but they get the job done for me.
All around comparing this game to the standards people hold games to today this is decent at best, its all about opinion and taste. For me its nice every once in a wile to lay down the Mac-10 and just pick up something simple, explore and have fun.
Now, remember this is your typical point and click adventure game so don't be expecting lots of action and huge explosions. Most of the game is dialog, exploring, and puzzles...So, this game wont be for everyone. I would recommend this game for people who haven't played an adventure game before but like I said it wont be for everyone. But, in my opinion this is one of the best adventure games out as of right now. Definitively in my top 5.
Game overall: 8.5
Graphics: 8.3
Sound: 8.5
Gameplay: 7.6
Re-Playability: 2.0
Total FunFactor: 8.3

Always remember reviews are opinions....Just because one person doesn't like a game doesn't mean the next wont neither ....
Never let review totally sway you decision, and always seek a second or third opinion. If you think you might like a game rent and try it for yourself and support the developers.

The game takes you back once again to the Victorian Era with Sherlock Holmes, investigating the case of Jack the Ripper!

Despite the lack of compelling gameplay, Sherlock Holmes Vs. Jack The Ripper is worthwhile because of it's story.

Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper ending. There is nothing wrong with the sound. Weird ending for a pretty good game.Posted Jul 5, 2009

This video immerses you in the gloomy atmosphere of Holmes’ latest adventure. This time, you’ll be confronted with the Cthulhu myth imagined by HP Lovecraft, which crosses Holmes’ way in a surprising confrontation between rational and supernatural.Posted Nov 8, 2006
