Shark??? Aghhh SHARK!!!

I'm writing this review since the others about this game don't help anyone in my opinion. I played Shark! I while back on my old pc in the good old Penitum 4 days. I loved it back then and I have to admit I still do. Though there aren't a whole lot of deep sea diving games to pick from, the game developers did a good all-in-all job.

The game will take you through an interesting, but short, shark hunter's career. From the first small beach with a couple yellow sharks scaring the swimmers to the extremly deep and dark dives with.... well, its up to you to figure who you are up against in that case. The more sharks you kill the higher your popularity will get and the more extreme the locations will get. Fortunetly enough you'll also get better weapons to carry with you that will cause more damage to the big baddies out there.

The graphics are decent. I think since the game is kinda old you would think they aren't really much compared to today's standards and thats true. But when you play old games like this you need to get outside the "only graphics" view and enjoy the game for what it is. If a new game like this came out today, I think an awesome improvement would be the graphics. I mean, there is nothing cooler than an ocean floor with colorful seaweed and coral everywhere, or a deep dark underwater cave. It's kinda scary at the same time too. The sounds are pretty neat and fun too. What's neat, as you probably have already heard, is the pounding heart noises as soon as a shark gets close enough to you. It'll drive you crazy and looking left and right trust me.

The last thing I think needs a mention is the overall length of the game. I think you can finish this easily with a day or two of playing on the easy settings. Sharks tend to get extremly deadly on the hard setting, so deadly that a touch from them will kill you instantly.

Overall a fun game, worth playing, very entertaining and worth checking out, specially since there aren't a whole lot of diving games out there.
