Shadows of the Damned is a unique third person shooter with horror elements and some pretty funny moments.

Shadows of the Damned is a game I've seen mixed reviews of, whether it be good or bad. This review will tell you what I think this game is, and if it's one thing, it's far from bad.

SotD combines the third person horror elements from recent Resident Evil games and the weirdness of Suda 51. Both of these create a mix of a fun filled action with babies eating brains to open doors and the main character talking about demon pubes. As said, this game is a third person shooter, and as the typical controls as a shooter with LT aiming and RT shooting. The game follows demon hunter Garcia (been awhile since i've played) as he goes into hell to save his beloved Maria. Pretty decent plotline with a good twist too, and the characters are hilarious. Comedy plays a role in this game as well, and actually made me laugh quite a few times.

Graphically wise, SotD is a little cartoony, using cel shaded textures that we all know and love. The dark and body infested ghost towns, the eerie dull swamps and tall malevolent towers stalk the games environments, and you will embark in more places that will satisfy your lust for disturbing moments in the game.

Overall, SotD was a pretty good game, and lasted about 14 hours for me, on the hardest difficulty. The fun gunplay and engrossing environments, laughable comedy and likeable characters makes this game a 8 out of 10.

Oh, and the last boss fight is a pain in the a**...should probably fix that EA.
