Good old fashioned FPS Fun..NOW with sword play and arterial spray!

I played the original SW in the 90's and it was interesting mindless fun.

SW the remake is pretty much the equivalent with next gen graphics.

( - ) The levels are super linear, sometimes disguised in multi pathed forests
( + ) ludicrous GIBS! arterial spray and dismemberment
( + ) quicksaves, game saves and checkpoints
( + ) upgradeable weaponry does more damage
( + ) katana sword play
( + ) humorous pithy dialogue

Overall a decent funny and fun shooter in the old school tradition and its cheap at only $35.

I find the sword fighting inspiring in this game. Something I haven't felt since ES4: Oblivion and would like to see the very interesting sword play in a more robust portrayal after experiencing this game. Perhaps a samurai thriller like lone wolf and cub with ninjas but taken a little more seriously perhaps.
