This is another Soni....err..Shadow game review I'm doing from my past of gaming, days of my youth.

Shadow The Hedgehog is a confused 3D platformer. It want's to be able to function like all those old fun Sonic Adventure games, but with a darker story. But the problem is neither of those, heres a list.

-Use of weapons in a Sonic style game
-confusingly laid out story, I didn't get at my age how to be evil or good I was always neutral
-Weirdly laid out levels make it confusing for most
-The story doesn't deliver the darkness you'd expect

Basically the story in this game is like this.
Big Dark Evil Guy: Shadow You're suposed to kill people
Shadow: I can't remember anything
BDEG: I know your past
S: Maria!

Gun: You work for us Shadow you must stop this black army
Shadow: Ok
BDEG: Shadow eliminate gun forces and i'll tell you more of your past
S: Ok
then you have to choose what to do

Basically that's how the whole game is laid out, and if you just breeze through the levels like most Sonic fans want to do you will just be neutral all story and nothing good happens.

The controls are basically the same as all the other Sonic's just with weapons added..which sucks.

Final Verdict: 5.5/10 A waste of time, no Sonic fan could find enjoyment out of this unless it were the cutscenes. Don't buy, rent, or pick up at any Gamestop and give it a look.
