Awesome game, WITH GUNS! But the controls are kinda tricky.

This game is really cool. Plus the guns are pretty awesome. However, I think Sonic Team took it a little too far with the language. I mean come on, Sonic was never meant to swear! But that aside, it is an awesome game. Black Doom is kinda creepy, but plays and important role. He's like the devil of the game, however he does have an awesome voice! The black arms make for an interesting story as well in terms of Shadow's past. The music is quite impressive too, some of the best so far I think. Overall it's a nice sonic game for long-time fans, but definatly not the first one a newcomer should play.
