Highly Impressive art design, but whoa, the frame-rate is all over the map.

If a game could get an A+++ for art design, Shadow of the Colossus deserves it. And the idea of fighting gigantic enemies by climbing up them is a brilliant idea for a game. But everything else about the game isn't quite right.

1. You WILL notice the framerate drops. The time you most need a stable framerate is when you are climbing the enemy and thats exactly when the framerate is dodgy. Its really can affect the gameplay. You'll get used to it, but you wont like it either.

2. The graphics are beautiful but there's so much fogging at all times everywhere that alot of the color is drained out from all of the fog effects. The only reason why there is so much fogging is to disguise the the draw-in of objects as you are walking around world. Grrrrr. This is perhaps one game that should have been on the XBOX, which has enough hardware power to make this game look and play the way it should have.

In spite of the great artwork, God of War is still the better "action-platformer" game on the PS/2. God of War always looks amazing and the gameplay is perfect. No framerate issues with God of War.

I really hope Shadow is re-released for the PS3.
