Kinda like Zelda on crystal meth.

User Rating: 9 | Shadow of the Colossus PS2
The main character in this game runs like wussy... but... TOWARDS enemies the size of buildings! Shadow of the Colossus is an immense experience, I was absolutely immersed into this land I was thrown into. Everything is so stylish and crafted with feeling and thought. The music is epic and memorable, the story is subtle but effective, the graphics push ps2 over the edge as it can barely keep up, and the gameplay is so engaging and immersive. Sadly, not all is well in this barren land. The framerate is always struggling to keep up, there is a lot of pop in, and the controls can be very unresponsive. Despite those problems, I believe if you own a ps2 or a BC ps3, you need to own Shadow of the Colossus.

Gameplay (9/10):
+Each colossus presents its own puzzle on how to beat it
+Horse riding feels very realistic and you will get attached to Agro eventually
+Exceptional atmosphere
+Time attack is an excellent addition after you beat the game, and is a cool way of getting new items
-Framerate affects gameplay... which is a shame, this might also be the reason the controls are not very responsive
-I feel like they could've added some puzzles on how to get to some of the colossi

Graphics (9/10):
+Fantastic art direction
+Great texture work
+Animation is stellar
-Framerate... once again ( I mean for ****s sake! Port this to ps3 like the other guys did to GOW series)

Sound (10/10):
+Music is superb
+From the wind to the birds, everything is very atmospheric and engaging
*Can't comment on voice acting due to the fact that it's in Japanese (I think)

Value (8/10):
+The game is very replayable
+You can find a used copy for around 14 bucks
-Could have been longer (9 hours will fly by)

I strongly recommend that anyone who thinks they're a gamer buys this game. I regret not playing it when it came out.
