Any preconceived notions about SotC shouls be laid to rest now. Ico this is definitely not. But Ico and Shadow of the Colossus share quite a bit aesthetically. It's more of a feeling than anything else that those two titles share. The Colossi (hence the title, duh) are downright awe inspiring, and bringing these behemoths down only gets more exhilirating as you progress through the game. Finding each Colossus' weak points and then exploiting them is damn satisfying. And that is the real meat of the game. No real puzzles to speak of and no other enemies are to be found anywhere else. But of course there are flaws. The camera can be a pain and the graphics can get a bit icky but these flaws are easily overshadowed(!). So if you have an artsy-fartsy side and a little pretentiousness doesn't bug you, you'll find Shadow of the Colossus completely engrossing.
