An awesome adventure through the space time continueum

Ok well in the video game world with all it's craziness this happens a lot more regularly than in real life but in Shadow of memories the adventure begins with the central character's death...however it's not the end for main man Eike Kuche after being stabbed to death in the street he awakes in a mysterious location and is confronted by an equally bizarre creature named Homunculus...he gives our hero (and Raiden from Metal Gear Solid lookalike) a digi-pad...a strange device that allows him to travel through time to critical moments which can potentially help avert his death. What goes on from here is a twisting adventure of time travel...alchemy insane twists and 56% more scaring olden days villagers with mobile phones than it's nearest rival. Shadow of memories is of a rare breed of PS2 titles it's pace is quite slow and involves more brainwork with talking to the right people and using the right items to get the job done...the only racing you'll need to do is against time since even though you'll be travelling through time in the present time rolls on and if you haven't changed events by the hour of your murder to thwart the killers next attempt then it's curtains for you. The games time travel ranges from going back a few hours to organise a crowd to gather so you wont be isolated and venrable to murder to travelling back several years to prevent a tree being planted to remove your attackers cover...although the adventure atarts as simply trying to save your own life it soon grows with the people you meet and events you witness you'll try to discover your would be murderers identity and motive...help an alchemist discover a cure for his ailing wife...delve into the past of an old friend, and investigate the motives of the mysterious Homunculus. Time wise it only really takes a few hours to finish the game there are 7 count em 7 different endings to the game each with a different fate for Eike and the others his time travelling adventures involve some good others bad...after obtaining 6 endings options arise to uncover the 7th learning the complete truth and tying the adventure together so it's got a lot of mileage and it's really worth the ammount of plays to get them all. So a refreshing change of pace a highly compelling story it's not for everyone if you have no patience or only like games where you get stuck in yourself then it's not for you but if you like puzzles and a good story you can't go wrong it may be a bit of a rarity these days but if you can find one it's more than worth the bargain bin price you're likely to find it for
