One of the more intriguing adventure titles on the PS2... or any other platform.

Cold night... December 27th, 2007. I had pined for my parents to bring me to GameStop so I could redeem a coupon I had found in the paper. We went there at around 7:30 at night and stayed basically until they closed at 9. After much browsing and carousing, we (eventually) got three games and four DVDs. But what if I had the chance to go back to that particular night and pick out three titles from what I had originally chosen? What if I was given the chance to...?

In the PlayStation 2 adventure title "Shadow of Destiny", you are posed with a question similar to that one... except you have to ask yourself "What do I need to do in order to live past 2:30 in the afternoon?" As Eike Kusch, you are tasked with keeping yourself alive to the next few hours and getting a mysterious stone for a guy named Homunculus (who looks like a freakin' girl!)... what's his motive for keeping you alive?

The game play leaves only little to be desired, since the camera doesn't move with you, really. The music, although changing from time to time (aka 2001 and 1580), can be a tad little bit distractionary. The graphics are... well... it's Konami and PS2, right?

Aside from all of that, if you happen to find this title at your local garage sale, video game outlet, or online for cheap, grab it. It'll suck you in.
