In the "Shadow" by Final Fantasy, this game is in its own way different to common RPGs.

The graphics in this game are outdated, but they aren't that bad. The backgrounds are OK, while character battles and monsters are all polygoned without the soft modeled of other games. But the core of this RPG is that it keeps you engaged with its dialogue, and story which is very well written.

In this RPG, characteres talk and act as real people, not like the typical good guy or bad guy. Harv-5, is a robot, who is in fact more human and has more sense of humor than any character from Final Fantasy VII had. And that's a thing I value for games like this. Talking to people from towns can be sometimes interesting too, so it really seems that a lot of effort has been put into the setting of the game.

Battle-system is common, but you can approach and move away from the enemy, which adds it a bit of strategy. Magic and summon animations are right, but don't expect FF quality.
The soundtrack, while isn't breathaking fits very well the dark theme of the game and gives it a nice atmosphere, and the sound effects are just nice.

If you don't mind its few technical issues you will find in this game some of the best and funniest dialogue ever made for a videogame; or if you are just tired of typical stories, heroes and clichés, this is your game.
