Unfortunately, the Sega CD was doomed from the start thanks to weak games like Sewer Shark.

User Rating: 4.3 | Sewer Shark SCD
Gameplay:

The Sega CD was never a big success anywhere in the world. And one of the reasons was the system had some pathetic mediocre games. Sewer Shark is one of those pathetic games. Your missions are basically taking control of a ship and shoot the living hell out of mutated creatures while soaring through pipes. You can control where you go through corridors and such. At times you will have to get rid of things that stand in your way. This all gets repetitive and boring after a while. Sewer Shark mostly consists of FMV movies and cutscenes, which take up lots of space on the disc. By all means, the gameplay is seriously not worth checking out.

Graphics:

All the graphics are in FMV form, but they definitely aren't great. For a Sega CD game, it probably looks okay, but compared to what can be done today; the FMV is poor and uninteresting. Everything is highly detailed like a movie, but it's not viewed very well. So while the game looked very interesting and cool during the early 90's, it looks poor today.

Sound:

The music is...well not bad, but not good ether. The voice acting, I guess it’s okay and fits in the action, but nothing special. The sound effects are also not that great ether. It's mostly your standard shooting and screams you'd hear in a Sci-fi shooter.

Conclusion:

I did not purchase this game people. This, unfortunately, came with my Sega CD when I bought this years ago. During its time, the game might have had good FMVs since they were the new thing during the time, but today, they are lame. The gameplay is also very lame. The game is too short, lacks variety and creativity in almost everything. Unless you buy a Sega CD and this game comes with it, do NOT buy this trash.

Pros:

-FMVs are fair at best.

Cons:

-Uninteresting story and voice acting
-Lousy gameplay
-WAY too short (you'll finish it in less then 15 minutes!)
-It was boxed with the Sega CD system if you purchase one.
