I’ve long heard of the Dark Soul’s FromSoftware games but they never caught my attention. When Sekiro first came out I thought of giving it a try but after seeing the gameplay I concluded it wasn’t my kind of game. Many years after and taking advantage of a good sale I decided to buy it and play it. The set is 100% what made me play the game, it has an amazing design and old Japanese sets are always interesting. I knew it would be difficult and the early game kept me engaged with the help of the story. However after a painful set of bosses and hundreds of deaths the fun just dissipated. I get the challenge it’s fun when you beat a tough opponent but it just becomes boring and frustrating at some point, specially because the pace of the story simply loses momentum. It’s for sure not my type of game but I recognize its value.
