My first racing game on the PSP, and it's just plain fun!

User Rating: 8 | Sega Rally Revo PSP
For this game, you can practically forget about any other controls other than the left, right and X button, which makes it arcade fun and stripped-down challenging in terms of pure maneuvering.

With easy controls, adrenaline pumping soundtrack and dozens of rally racers to unlock, Sega Rally Revo is easily enjoyed by racing fans and amateurs alike. The single-player championship is engaging enough for the purpose of accumulating points to unlock new cars but you wouldn't hold on to it long due to repeated racing tracks.

However, the simple mechanics in this game may be offending to a pro racer fan because it seems that onward crashing into curbs and turns tends to be more effective than mastering braking skills and then becoming slower in the end. So, I would say this game would appeal to amateurs more. The PS3 version allows terrain deformation that would be suitable for the pros in terms of tactical racing perhaps. Last but not least, multiplayer with a group of six friends for a game of Sega Rally Revo serves to boost the house party mood too.
