Gran Turismo if it had been made by Sega and was more fun!

The original Xbox is chalk full of great racing games, however, this is not one of them. I played the game today for the first time. I bought it for .99 cents at gamestop with JSRF on the same disc. I was not expected the greatest racing game ever made for .99 cents, but critic reviews were generally positive so I didn't think it would be a waste of money, yet I am more concerned about space in my room to store the game. The game is graphically only up to the PS2's standards, no offense. The game was probably ported from a Dreamcast build. I started the first race pushing the right trigger down and the car to my surprise did not move. I unpluged the controller and blew the connector port (like an old cartridge game). plugged it back in with no luck. Stated randomly pushing all the bottons to find the right one. Of all Xbox racers this is the first I have played that used the A botton to go. Just like with PS2 racing games I always push the botton down as hard as I can and my thumb would cramp up (not sure why). i know the bottons are pressure sensitive so I always end up pushing it really hard to make sure I am going as fast as I can (not a problem with old racing games just with the PS2 racing games and this one do I have this problem). Once I could drive it was kinda fun, and better than I remember Gran Turismo 3 and 4 being. The fun lasted for about an hour before I started losing every race. My Fait was not up to par I thought. I threw all my money into upgrading it. I continued to fall in the lower half places. I like a good challenge but this was just not possible to work my way up. I gave up on the game, so needless to say and will get rid of it.
NOT A KEEPER
