I give you one word that made this series worth picking up for the PSP. Sonic. What better way to play the blue master of speed while on the go. While Sonic 3 is missing from this series, it doesn't take much away from this compilation.

Most of the games on here I hadn't played before and having owned a Genesis before I just had to try out the rest of them. The games are all faithful emulations of their Genesis cousins. I haven't seen any glaring flaws in them. All the music is there, the controls are well done, and all the sound is intact.

What would have made this game better? Yes, adding Streets of Rage would have been good, but I wanted to see the other Virtual game. That's right. It would have been awesome to see Virtua Racing.

All-in-all, one of the best games you can get for the PSP if you loved old school gaming.
