A must-have collection for old school SEGA fans, which covers 10 over years of classics.

From 1989 to 1996, this collection packs a range of great titles. I've always loved the Golden Axe series and I'm the kid that doesn't own a SEGA Genesis at that time and I only get to play a couple of times at my cousin's place. Even then, I'm still too young and stupid to know what I'm doing to appreciate the gameplay. Now that this collection contains the trilogy, it's like buying back your first generation Optimus Prime toy from e-bay.

Other than the famous Sonic the Hedgehog I and II, there are other gems such as Shinobi III and Phantasy Star IV. And look at the range man, from side-scrollers to arcade hits, puzzle games (Columns) and RPGs to suit everyone's needs. There are some hidden gems such as Space Invaders and similar old Atari style games that needs to be unlocked which adds to the value to this collection. Well, even if you don't appreciate these one-dimensional games any more, the process of trying to unlock them is fun enough.

Also, another cool feature which is impossible in the old days is that you can save your game (any game) at any point, which is great for overcoming those unforgivingly hard stages where you keep dying and never get to complete after all. However, it's a pity that it doesn't contain the Streets of Rage series and Elemental Master, which I can only hope for a Sega Genesis Collection 2 to come.
