Most of the Genesis classics in the palm of your hand.

User Rating: 8.5 | Sega Genesis Collection PSP
Sega Genesis Collection is a collection of classic Genesis games. Some of them are good. Some of them are mediocre. And some of them just bad. For the good games, there is Sonic the Hedehog 1 and 2. They look exactly the same as the Genesis counterparts and it still controls really well. They are still fun to play. There is also Phantasy Star II, III, and IV. They are really fun RPGs to pick up and play. Shinobi III is also ma fun game to play as a ninja. Some other great games like Comix Zone and Columns are also here. Even the great underrated games like the two Vectormans and Ristar are here.

For the mediocre, there is Altered Beast. It's fun for a little while, but it gets repetative after a while. Same with the three Golden Axes. There is also Virtua Fighter 2. The bad part about it is that it's the Genesis version. It doesn't look or play the same as the arcade version, but it's still ok to play. Other games like Alex Kid, Flicky, and Gain Ground are ok game, but they get boring after a while. The only really bad game here are the arcade games. You unlock them whenyou do an achievent in a specific game. Don't bother playing these games. They are mostly rip-offs of better arcade games. There is Congo Bongo ( a Donkey Kong rip-off) and Astro Blaster (a Galaga rip-off). At least there is Super Zaxxon.

One of the most dissapointing things about this game is that some of the best Genesis games are missing from this game. Games like Gunstar Heroes and Toejam and Earl are missing from this game. One of the missing games here are Revenge of Shinobi. They should have replaced Shadow Dancer with Revenge of Shinobi. Overall this is a good game to pick up. I f you don't want to spend a lot of money on buying these games seperately on the Virtual console, thenn you can buy this game. There is also a version for the PS2 for $20, but since I don't own a PS2, I got the PSP version, and it's only $30.
