Sega Genesis games on your PS2

User Rating: 8.5 | Sega Genesis Collection PS2
Sega has finally released a Sega Genesis Collection for PS2/PSP that delivers 20 classics games Sega's heyday during the early 1990's with its 16-bit system Sega Genesis. You get a mix of Sega's big hit games during the 1990's through the end of the consoles life cycle like Sonic The Hedgehog 1 & 2, Comix Zone, Shinobi 3, Vectorman 1 & 2, Phantasy Star 2 & 3 &4 , Golden Axe 1 & 2, plus Golden Axe 3 which was only released in Japan, Kid Chameleon, Altered Beast,Alex Kidd, Ristar, Virtua Fighter 2, Columns just to name a few. Each game plays exactly the same as it did during the 16-bit days and has a save anywhere feature. You can unlock bonus content like videos, cheats, and bonus games. The only downfall would be that the section isn't that great. Sega should of made better choices of games like Streets of Rage 1-3 which were released on the Sonic Gems Collection in Japan but no here in America. Sega could of added more games like ToeJam and Earl 1 & 2, Shinobi 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Eternal Champions, Sonic 3D Blast to make the collection complete. Sega should of omitted Sonic, Vectorman, Comix Zone, Ristar because these games either appeared in Sonic Mega Collection Plus or Sonic Gems Collection and have no need here. Sega should make a Volume 2 for either PS2 or PS3 since they could put more games on blue ray than a DVD disc. If you grew up with Sega then pick this up because its really cheap at $20.
