Epic multiplayer, weak single player, but that doesn't matter, it's still awesome.

This game has some seriously hardcore awesome multiplayer, the single player, not so much, but I'll get to that later.
In the multiplayer you spawn not randomly, but you can freely choose where you spawn and then fall from orbit from insane heights that would be impossible to do in real life with out killing yourself. I guess that would make since hence the title, Section 8.
You can customize your soldier with what's called a loadout, similar to what they have in Team Fortress, but not exactly the same. You can also customize your own loadout, pick your own weapons, equipment, and customize what's called Passive Modules. Passive Modules give you constant benefits without hurting you or effecting you in negative ways, however, you can equip only a limited amount of them. They vary from improving your armor, boosting your shield or to making you more stealthy and harder to be noticed by enemies.
You also earn Requisition points, which you can use to buy things like turrets to defend Control Points, or you can buy heavy armor, which is pretty useful for defense and offensive actions, you could also buy a tank, which is good for well, many fun destructive things.
Finally another feature in multiplayer is you can take on special missions like defending convoys, VIPS, or stealing intel etc.

One last thing I'd like to point out is this game is nothing like Halo aside from their manly armor and the whole space thing but minus the aliens. The game a has a completely different feel than Halo, and I've played through the Halo series. If you aren't sure about that rent it then, and if are sure about it buy it, buy it for the multiplayer, not the single player, the single player's fun and all, the story could have been great, but the whole way it was executed was not good. It's basically Instant Action but with plot. Sort of.
