Not fast enough, too linear, no excitement.....

This game should've been amazing but just didn't quite make it for me.

The thing about horror adventures is they have to grip you and have you on the edge of your seat, this one just didn't do that for me, it was way too slow and I found myself frustrated at lack of progress rather than on the edge of my seat.

The graphics are okay but not brilliant. I think they've confused 'old Victorian' with 'atmospheric and creepy'.

I remember going into the attic and thinking "this is going to be scary" but was disappointed, the subtitles came up saying that character sensed something lurking in the shadows but there were no visuals or sounds to back that up, just the subtitles..... that didn't really scare me.

The game is very linear and you have to follow the story in a particular order and can only do certain things at certain times in the game. This makes me feel like I'm being led around by the nose rather than interacting with the game world.

It's playable though, I didn't hate it, I guess I just didn't love it and I was expecting to be on the edge of my seat. Failed to get my heart rate going at all I'm afraid.
