Everything about this game is absolutely awful. Until you actually start to play it.
The only thing that stops me from becoming a true fan, is the road I had to take to actually start playing. Opening screen design is overdone, UI is overloaded and commercials are over-shown. Really gets in the way of the game IMO.
But other than that, Scramble is a truly addictive pleasure. The in-game graphics is on the spot (when it's in the game, flashy & in-your-face can be a positive thing), Power-Ups are a cool touch (although I usually only use the freeze option) and improving your vocabulary is a nice extra excuse to give your self when you feel you've played too much.
Overall, I would recommend going into it like a tourist into the amazons - cut all obstacles in your path until you reach your destination.
