I'll start with a warning. First of all, don't read the gamespot review and be prejudiced against the game. Try the demo first. Second, If u are obsessed with online play, then don't get it, because there is no multiplayer component. Now to start the review. As I have said, this game isn't for everyone. But for those who can spare the time to call their friends over, then this could be a worthwhile experience. For people who liked the movie or comic, then get it NOW. For them, there are a lot of different Easter eggs and jokes that will only be understood if u are a fan of Scott Pilgrim media (as am I, just check my profile pic). For those others, it's probably still a bargain anyway. So gamespot said that they were angry that the game has no online. But that's actually just to add to the throwback to the 80s and 90s which is fun for those people who grew up with the oldies, but also for newcomers to the old-fashioned beat-em-ups, like me. For the so called "visibility issues", I'll admit that there are some problems. But they're not problems that make the game harder to play, but practically unnoticeable little quirks. Trust me, they will not get in your way. I know that there is a part in the 2nd Subspace Highway where your foot looks like it's getting throught a Coin Box and some coins float in mid-air, but it's not like it makes anything SOOOOO bad that they had to give it a horrible score! And let me say the co-op is FANTASTIC. It's a bit chaotic, but it is very fun with other people, and at some points there is a need to have at least 1 other person with you. Also, if two or more people do a taunt at the same time, they all pick up instruments and start playing, which creates a big monster gorilla thing(watch movie for details) that destroys everything around you! HOW COOL IS THAT???????

Gameplay: A fun beat-em-up with lots of different moves that need to be leveled up to proceed in the game, which I admit can be a tiny bit annoying sometimes, but can't ruin the game at all.
9.7/10

Story: It's a game that has no dialogue and any character background, but this is actually the essence and point of the whole game.
10/10

Sound: Punches and kicks sound REAL, and so do the explosions, laser blasts and KO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s. All this is topped of by a fantastic soundtrack by Animaniguchi, which fits the game and comic perfectly.
10/10

Visuals: A little bit of visual difficulties, but they physically CAN NOT hinder the phenomenal pixel artwork and amazing character animations.
10/10

A must buy.

That is all.
