User Rating: 8 | Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game PS3
The game is tough, but that is to be expected since it's inspired by 8-bit fighters. It can be tough playing by yourself but with one friend can be great fun.

The block can be useless, especially while getting attacked. The variety of attacks can be useful, particularly in single player. You get eventually get character specific attacks. The progression system is a neat feature(not used in many pixel brawlers.)

The levels each have a unique look and structure to them, for more variety. I was overjoyed to see elevator level. They have been absent in games since the side scrolling fighter genre died off. Along with orange flashing for low health bosses.

The playable characters have a simple but like-able style. Even the background characters have an interesting mixture to them. People who have read the books might recognise some "spectators".

The music is just plain cool, if you enjoy Nintendo-style music. Each stage has music that goes well with the design.

My only problem is the game's on the shorter side.
This is my first game review, thanks for reading.
