Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is a throwback to the 90's where brawlers were everywhere. The game adds depth with it's stat boosting items which can be bought with money. The visuals are straight from a 16 bit 90's console and the boss battles are truly epic and memorable. I'm not going to lie to anyone in my review though the game is difficult to get through solo even on easy. The difficulty is offset a lot if you can get a friend or two to play with you. This leads me to what is it's greatest feature in my opinion, local multiplayer only. In this age of gaming it is one the most neglected features. Sitting on the couch with a couple of buddys is the best part of this game to me and more should follow in it's footsteps. I give this game a 9.5 for only two reasons. 1 No online option. I love the local multiplayer but it would be nice to have that option. 2 the transactions in the store can be a little bit clunky and feels like an antiqauted game in that respect. Overall Scott Pilgram is a classic that I highly recommend you pick up.
